‘Police to lose job for involvement with drugs’

If the involvement of any police member with consumption of drugs or any sort if their involvement with the drug is proved, he will be sacked from the job, said Abdul Baten, newly appointed Deputy Inspector General of Police of Rajshahi, in an exchange of views with the journalists at the office of DIG in Rajshahi on 15 September ( Tuesday) morning. Such a policeman having any involvement with drug consumption or drug trafficking has no right to right work with the Police force, he emphasised. 

DUG, Rajshahi Range Abdul Baten joined the office on Monday morning. 

DIG Abdul Baten further told all policemen to work with utmost sincerity and legality.  In this connection, he said, none of the policemen will be spared if any unjust or illegal work done by him/her is proved. He also requested the service recipients to contact the Range DIG if no proper action is taken by the concerned police unit.

DIG Abdul Baten also envisioned to continue his best effort to build up a Modern Policing System.

The function was attended, among others, by  Additional DIG of Rajshahi Range TM Mozahidul Islam, Superintendent of Police of Rajshahi district Mohammad Shahidullah, Additional Superintendent of Police Iftekhayer Alam and other police high officials of police from Rajshahi range.
