Police to face off Fortis today

Services team Bangladesh Police FC will take on Fortis FC in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) at 4:00 p.m. at Rafique Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium, Mymensingh on Friday. Both teams secured a place in the next season of BPL. 

The services team Police sit in fourth place on 23 points, while Fortis are placed sixth on 18 points. With two matches to play. Police FC earned a point in their last match, drew2-2 with Bashundhara Kingsat their venue on May 18. 

Police extending their unbeaten streak to eight (Wins 4 Draws 4 Losses 0). Fortis played out a goalless draw against Sheikh Jamal at Rajshahi District Stadium in their last encounter. They could not win three matches in a row. 

The two sides last met in BPL, Fortis won 2-1 at Rajshahi District Stadium in February. Pa Babou scored first for Fortis in the 51st minute. Valerii Gryshyn also was on target. Edward Morillo reduced the margin for Police in the 80th minute of the encounter. So, Police expects to take revenge against Fortis in the return league. 

Morillo has been a key performer for the services side in this season. 

The striker is their top scorer with five goals, two of which have been the tone-setting first of the match.

Babou, Omar Sarr, and Gryshyn have been Fortis' most prolific players this campaign, scoring five, four, and four times, respectively.

In their last six league matches, Bangladesh Pol have won two and drawn four. Fortis, meanwhile, have won one, drawn three and lost two in their last six.
