Police take to field to enforce lockdown in Jhalokathi

Jhalokati district police has taken to the field to implement the lockdown announced by the government. The campaign is being carried out with the aim of creating awareness among the people in the streets and shops.

Jhalokathi District Police led by Jhalokati Superintendent of Police (SP) Fatiha Yasmin on Tuesday afternoon launched a campaign at various places in the district town. During this time, they carried out various awareness campaigns and warned pedestrians not to go out without wearing masks. 

Besides, the superintendent of police issued a stern warning to keep the shops closed. Jhalokathi SP Fatiha Yasmin said, "Police are in a tough position to implement the lockdown announced by the government to prevent the spread of corona virus in the district."

Incidentally, 35 people have died of corona virus infection in Jhalokathi district so far. In the last 24 hours, 20 people have been infected with corona virus in Jhalokathi whereas, a total of 1,631 people have been infected with the virus in the district so far.
