Police start carrying out duty in Meherpur with help of army

Police activities in Meherpur district have started to become normal with the help of Bangladesh Army. Members of Bangladesh Army and Police have started joint patrol in the district since Friday night.

The people of the district are relieved as the police have started their regular activities. It was learnt that members of Bangladesh Army were stationed at Meherpur Sadar Police Sation and Gangni Police Station. They are conducting joint patrols with the police. At the same time, BGB members are assisting them by taking position at Mujibnagar Police Station. Apart from this, army members are conducting joint patrol with Mujibnagar police members.

The patrol vehicles of the main police stations were brought out from the stations on Friday with the help of the army. Fleets of police and army members are patrolling from district towns to villages. They are talking to the local people and giving various suggestions to assure them that the law and order situation are gradually becoming normal.
