Dhaka Metropolitan Police on early Monday raided the Kingfisher bar in the city’s posh Gulshan area for violating the license rules.
However, police neither seized anything nor arrested anyone during the raid.
Police claimed that they warned the bar authority saying that strict legal action would be taken if the bar authority did not follow the rules.
As per license rules, the Kingfisher bar will not be able to operate its activities after 10:30 pm. No musical show is also allowed in the bar. But ignoring the license rules, the bar authority was operating the bar till midnight. They were also hosting live musical shows until midnight.
Following a complain, Gulshan police conducted the operation at the bar on early Monday.
