Police raided the rented house of militant group Neo-JMB's IT head Tanvir on Monday night. Tanvir, a student of Jahangirnagar University's Institute of Information Technology, was not at home during the operation. Police arrested Tanvir's wife Shaila from the residence. Local sources said the couple rented the two-storey house at Gokulnagar at the beginning of the current month, January. This was their first home after their love marriage. The couple came to know each other through Facebook.
Cocktail or petrol-bomb, bomb-making materials and equipment needed to remotely detonate bombs were seized in the drive. Police were yet to know the militant suspect's plan. According to Lehaj Uddin, a member of Pathalia union council, Akter Hossain, a Bangladeshi expatriate in Saudi Arabia, owns the house. Akter's relative 'Shahjahan' looks after the house.
