Chattogram District Police has observed ‘Police Memorial Day-2022’ in remembrance of the genuine patriotism and great sacrifices of the fearless policemen who died in the line of duty. Chattogram DIG Md Anwar Hossain was the chief guest at the award ceremony held at the city's Chotapul Chattogram District Police Lines Civic Center on Tuesday.
Special guests were Saleh Mohammad Tanvir, Commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police, Mohammad Muslim, Additional DIG of Tourist Police and Mozaffar Ahmed, Commander of Chattogram Metropolitan Unit, Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad.
Chattogram District Superintendent of Police SM Rashidul Haque presided over the function. Gift items were later handed over to the family members of the self-sacrificing policemen.
The various units of Chattogram Police including CMP, Chattogram Range, RRF, APBN, Industrial, Highway, Railway, PBI, RAB, Tourist and Naval Police were present.
