Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) held a discussion meeting and award ceremony at Dampara Police Line Multipurpose Shed in the city on Wednesday on the occasion of Police Memorial Day-2023.
At the beginning of the ceremony, CMP Commissioner, DIG, District SP, Tourist Police, RAB, Railway Police, PBI, CID, Industrial Police, APBN, RRF, Naval paid tributes to the policemen who laid down their lives during the Great Liberation War and at different times. Police and members of various police units.
Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Freedom Fighter Md Rezaul Karim Chowdhury was the chief guest in the discussion meeting held under the chairmanship of CMP Commissioner Krishna Pad Roy and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Welfare and Force) Md Mohitul Islam. Chattogram Range DIG of Police Md. Anwar Hossain, Additional DIG of Tourist Police Mohammad Muslim, Additional Commissioner of Police Faisal Mahmud, Commander Bir Muktijodha Sangsad Mozaffar Ahmad, Acting Commander of District Muktijodha Sangsad Bir Muktijodha Sangsad AKM Sarwar Kamal Dulu, Chattogram Press Club General Secretary Devdulal Bhowmik and District Superintendent of Police SM Shafi Ullah.
Arpita Roy Chowdhury, daughter of Inspector Anita Rani Roy and Rumi Das, mother of Constable Abhi Das, who laid down their lives in the line of duty, paid tributes. Officials of various police units were present in the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, awards were given to the families of the policemen who sacrificed their lives while performing their duties at various times.
