Police Memorial Day-2021 was observed in Rajbari on Monday in memory of the police officers killed in the line of duty.
On the occasion, a minute of silence was observed at Rajbari Police Lines and wreaths were laid at the police memorial to commemorate the deceased police personnel.
Rajbari Superintendent of Police MM Shakiluzzaman, Additional Superintendent of Police Md Salahuddin (Administration and Crime), Additional Superintendent of Police Sheikh Sharif-uz-Zaman (Sadar Circle), officers in charge of all police stations in the district and representatives of other police units were present at the time.
Later, prayers were offered asking forgiveness of the souls of the slain police members and a discussion meeting was held at Police Lines Drill Shed.
At the end of the discussion, the relatives of the two policemen who were killed in 2020 were given Tk 50,000, dinner set and crest each. Later, the SP handed over flowers and special gifts to the families of nine policemen of the district who sacrificed their lives while on duty.
