Jibannagar police have launched an anti-drug campaign in different villages of Uthli and Manoharpur unions of Jibannagar upazila in Chuadanga. The campaign ran from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
Jibannagar police officer in charge (OC) Saiful Islam said, we will make Jibannagar upazila drug free at any cost. Earlier on Monday, a similar anti-drug campaign was launched in different villages of the border union of the upazila.
Saiful Islam added, “With the cooperation of the people, we will make the upazila drug free. I expect people will help us by giving information about drug dealers. Their name and address will be kept confidential.”
Members of Jibannagar police including OC (Investigation) Ferdous Wahid, OC (Operation) Selim Mollah took part in the anti-drug campaign.
