Chattogram District Police has taken special initiatives to enhance the welfare and efficiency of working Police members.
A monthly welfare meeting was held on Thursday at the Civic Centre, located within the Chattogram District Police Lines. Led by the District Superintendent of Police (SP), Md Saiful Islam Santu, the initiative provided both moral and material support to boost professionalism among police personnel.
SP Santu presented financial assistance, certificates, and crests to police officers from various units in recognition of their outstanding contributions. Additionally, ten computers were distributed to different branches to promote digital policing.
“Our officers play a pivotal role in maintaining public safety. Supporting their welfare not only improves morale but also strengthens their capacity to uphold law and order,” said SP Santu. “We are committed to ensuring a secure and supportive working environment for every member.”
During a visit to the Jafatnagar Police Camp, SP Santu donated a refrigerator for daily use. He also fulfilled a request from Baharchara Investigation Centre by providing a television, ensuring officers have access to rest and entertainment during breaks.
Furthermore, a motorcycle was handed over to Prashanta Kumar Bhowmik, Officer-in-Charge of Dhemsha Chowdhury Hat Police Investigation Centre, under Satkania Police Station. This will enhance patrol efficiency and support rapid response efforts in the area.
