Police file cases against 3 drivers in Mirsharai

The police have filed a case against three car drivers involved in a road accident in Chittagong's Mirsharai where four people were killed. The police said that the accident happened due to the mistake of the driver of the three vehicles, so a case has been registered against them. On Thursday night, SI Saiful Islam of Zorarganj Highway Police Station filed the case at Zorarganj Police Station. The accused are Jonaki Paribahan bus driver, covered van driver and lorry driver.

Confirming the matter, Zorarganj Highway Police In-charge (OC) Alamgir Hossain said that the case has been filed against Jonaki Paribahan bus driver, covered van driver and lorry driver. The matter will be investigated and legal action will be taken against them.

Incidentally, last Wednesday around 10:30 pm, a Chittagong-bound Jonaki Paribahan bus hit the back of a lorry in Raipur area of Sona Pahar filling station in Mirsharai on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway. At that time, both drivers were talking. 

The highway police reached the spot after receiving the information. Later local people and local CNG drivers thronged there. Meanwhile, a covered van going from Dhaka to Chittagong hit everyone standing. Four people died on the spot. Besides, six people including ASI and Constable of Zorarganj Highway Police Station were injured.
