Suddenly some people started rioting with sticks and stones in the railway station area. Railway police and members of the Railway Security Force (RNB) came forward to stop them.
They started protesting by burning tires despite calling for the hand mic to be removed. Then the police action started. Protesters were dispersed by throwing rubber bullets. Several people who were fueling the sabotage were arrested from the spot.
Several members of the RNB were injured in the attack. The exercise was held at Chittagong Railway Station on Saturday afternoon.
Hundreds of railway police and RNB members took part in the exercise.
It is learned that the exercise was organized as part of keeping RNB members ready to deal with the attack at the railway station. The exercise has been practiced on how to deal with attackers to save passengers and railway assets.
