A program of masks distribution for common people was arranged under the auspices of Chuadanga Police Department at Hasan Chattar in Chuadanga district town on July 7.
Jahidul Islam, Superintendent of Police, inaugurated the mask distribution program on the day. Tarek Hasan, Additional Superintendent of Police, Mahbub Hasan, Inspector of Traffic Police and other officers of police department were present at the program.
Jahidul Islam, Superintendent of Police said over 40000 masks are being distributed among common people through five police stations in four upazilas of the district at first phase free of cost. About 1,00,000 masks will be given to the people at second phase some days after.
He also said the police department has been miking for using masks and following health code.
Those who do not use the mask outside of homes and do not follow the health code will be brought under existing law, he added.
