Police were attacked while trying to arrest Shafiqul Islam Manik who is ccused of several cases in Dubail area of Kishoreganj district town on Wednesday afternoon. Four policemen were injured. Police fired several blank shots to control the situation.
Police have arrested 3 persons over this incident. The arrested were identified as Kadir Mia (alias) Ujjwal (45), Zahid (35), Mostaq Mia (45). The injured policemen were treated at the 250-bed General Hospital.
According to the police, Police were attacked while trying to arrest Shafiqul Islam Manik who is also an accused of Kishoreganj Sadar Model Police Station Case No. 33 Date-29/04/2020. Bricks are thrown from all sides. Four policemen were seriously injured in the attack. Several blank shots had to be fired to control the situation.
Kishoreganj Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Bakar Siddique said, police were attacked by 150-200 people while trying to arrest accused Shafiqul Islam Manik. Police fired several blank shots to control the situation. The situation is now under control.
