Police arrest 14 Rohingya people from Moulvibazar

Moulvibazar Police on Friday arrested 14 Rohingya people including several children and women. They were arrested from Dhaka Bus Stand area of Moulvibazar in the evening. A total of three Rohingya families fled from Kutupalang and Balukhali camps, police said. 

Moulvibazar Sadar Model Police Station OC Mohammad Zakaria at a press briefing said that 14 people on June 27 came to the Moulvibazar town from Chattogram looking for work. Due to lack of work opportunity, they tried to went to Dhaka on Friday evening. 

Due to their suspicious movement, police interrogated them and upon finding their identities, police arrested them and sent them to the police station. 10 of the arrestees are male and 4 of them are female. Currently the process of sending them to their designated camps is ongoing. 

During the press briefing, Additional Police Super Ziaur Rahman, Sadar Model Police Station OC Iasinul Haque were present.
