Gopalganj Sadar Police Station members has already started distributing stickers with mobile numbers of Bit Officers and Duty Officers of Gopalganj Sadar Police Station as well as cards of Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station among 24,000 houses in 24 bit policing areas under the Upazila.
In order to build a safe society in Gopalganj, under the overall supervision of Dhaka Range DIG Habibur Rahman, under the direction of Gopalganj District Superintendent of Police (SP) Ayesha Siddiqa, Gopalganj Sadar Police station members implemented this.
To this end stickers and cards were distributed at various houses in Haridaspur Union and Gopal Bazar adjacent to Gopalganj city on Thursday morning. At the time, Gopalganj Sadar Police Station OC Md Monirul Islam requested everyone to inform nearest police station at time of emergency.
OC Monirul Islam said the initiative was taken under the supervision of Dhaka Range DIG Habibur Rahman under the direction of Gopalganj SP Ayesha Siddiqa to provide police services to the people of 24 bit policing areas under Sadar Police Station.
This will reduce all types of criminal activities including drugs, eve-teasing, theft, robbery and will greatly improve law and order. People will get police service at home, he added.
At the time, the Sub-Inspector of Sadar police station Md Saiful Islam, Biswajit Ghosh, Haridaspur UP members along with other members of the police and members of the village police were present.
