Renowned poet, journalist and essayist Prodeepto Mobarook has joined Stamford University, Bangladesh as the Head of the Public Relations Department (HOD-PRD).
A well-known Bangladeshi communication and public relations professional with a strong literary inclination, Mobarook previously served as the Head of Public Relations at Uttara University.
Prodeepto Mobarook is a prominent modern poet and journalist whose poetry is frequently featured in national dailies of both Bangladesh and Kolkata. His writings—mainly focused on themes of love, rebellion, social consciousness, and patriotism—are noted for their modernist flair. As a skilled public relations practitioner, poet, and organizer, he has carved out a unique place for himself in Bangladesh’s educational and literary arenas.
Prodeepto began his education at 51 No. Alinagar Government Primary School and later at Alinagar Secondary School in his native village. For higher education, he attended the prestigious Dhaka
College, followed by completing both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Bengali Language and Literature from the University of Dhaka.
He is a highly educated professional with specialized knowledge in communication and public relations. From his university days, he was actively involved in literary and organizational leadership. He also conducted research on Bengali poetic rhythm at Rabindra Bharati University in Kolkata.
Prodeepto Mobarook began his journalism career in March 2010 as a Senior Reporter at the national daily Samakal. Under the mentorship of his uncle, renowned poet and journalist Nasir Ahmed, Mobarook was further inspired to pursue literature and journalism. It was Nasir Ahmed who first introduced him to the art of poetry, essays, and storytelling.
