‘PM understands pain of the helpless’

Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim has said that statesman Sheikh Hasina understands the sorrow of the poor, the suffering of the needy and the pain of the helpless.

The minister made the remarks while addressing a function as the chief guest at the distribution of PM's relief dry food among the needy at the Government Technical School and College auditorium in Nazirpur, Pirojpur on Saturday Nazirpur Upazila Administration and Disaster Management Department, Nazirpur organized the event.

The Minister further said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's program will not leave a single person in the country without food, not a single person will remain poor, not a single person will remain helpless. 

“A people-friendly Prime Minister like Sheikh Hasina has never come before. She could not have been a statesman if she had not understood the suffering of the poor, the sorrow of the miserable, the pain of the helpless. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has proved that,” he said.

The minister further said, " There is no wailing, no shortage, no despair anywhere in the country today." Electricity has been provided all around, roads are being developed. We are in the process of making people prosperous everywhere from the end of the village to the city.”

Nazirpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sheikh Abdullah Saadi presided over the function and Nazirpur Upazila Parishad Chairman Amulya Ranjan Haldar was present as special guest. 

Officer-in-charge of Nazirpur Police Station Humayun Kabir, Vice Chairman of Nazirpur Upazila Parishad Mostafizur Rahman Ranju, former commander of Pirojpur District Muktijoddha Sangsad Gautam Narayan Roy Chowdhury, officials of local government departments and local political leaders were present on the occasion.
