Ruling Awami League (AL) led 14-partyalliance on Monday hailed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for declaring five stimulus packages to overcome the possible COVID-19 impact on Bangladesh’s economy, saying once the packages are implemented properly, the country’s economy will be rejuvenated, reports BSS.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has declared Taka 72,750 crore under five stimulus packages to overcome the possible COVID-19 impact on the country’s economy, which is 2.5 percent of the GDP. If the packages are implemented properly within the quickest possible time, the country’s economy will remain rejuvenated,” said a 14-party statement signed by its spokesperson and AL Presidium Member Mohammed Nasim here.
Appreciating the premier, the 14-party leaders said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has unveiled hopeful packages during the country’s crisis time.
Noting that the packages now need to be implemented as soon as possible, they expressed hope that the concerned ministries will take effective measures in this regard.
