While briefing the media about her recent visit to South Africa, Prime Minister Sheikh said the people will decide the future of Bangladesh as they are the owners of the country. Therefore, they (people) will decide what to do and what not in future.
Participatory election does mean the participation of people. Replying to a query Sheikh Hasina posed a question about the participatory poll, asking whose participation? Is it the votes of thieves or robbers? Or is it the participation of corrupts, money launderers, August 21 grenade attackers, killers of the Father of the Nation and war criminals of 1971?
People will cast their votes in the election and those who will be elected in the election will come to the power. We highly applaud Sheikh Hasina’s such bold statement as she mentioned in her reply to the journalists about the activities of killers of Bangabandhu, the anti-liberation forces, power-mongers, looters of people’s wealth and parasite groups. It is known to all their target is to create a troubled situation and seize state power through the back door and thwart the progress of democracy.
The people of Bangladesh believe that a free, fair and neutral election will be held in the country. National elections will be held by the end of this year or early next year. If the people cast their votes to make Awami League victorious, it will continue its national responsibility of building the country.

Awami League is the party of the people, believes in peace and the strength of the people. Since 2009, Awami League government has been running the country for 14 consecutive years after being elected by the people. Now people will judge and evaluate what the government has been able to give to the country and its people in the last 14 years and eight months.
After forming the government with a huge mandate of people, Sheikh Hasina led government took necessary initiatives by formulating urgent, short, medium and long-term plans to advance the country's socioeconomic progress. All the great and biggest achievements of this country, including the establishment of independent and sovereign Bangladesh, have been realised at the hands of Awami League and the Awami League government.
Bangladesh is now an emerging economy and role model for development. But the BNP-Jamaat clique in association evil forces has employed hired intellectuals and statement-givers at home and abroad with looted money to malign Awami League and they are trying to mislead people through spreading false and fake information on social media.
All should stay alert so that none can snatch away the rights of the people through hatching. At the same time, everyone should remain cautious so that none can create anarchy in the name of movement and harm people’s lives and livelihood.
