Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s press conference highlighted different important issues about her recent tri-nation visit to Japan, the United States and the United Kingdom (UK). Besides, she made her stand clear again that Bangladesh will not buy anything from those who will give sanctions.
Now Bangladesh has a reserve of US$ 31.22 billion and there is not much reason to worry about. Replying to a query, the premier said an election-time government could be formed with the parties in parliament although the next general election will be held in the country following the Westminster democracy of Britain. If anyone of the MPs in parliament expresses desire to join the election-time government, Awami League government is ready to welcome them.
As BNP doesn’t have any representation in parliament, there is nothing to think about them. All seven BNP MPs resigned from parliament in December last year as part of the party’s anti-government movement.

Awami League will declare developing ‘Smart Bangladesh’ in the party's next election manifesto. Sheikh Hasina also referred to the arson terrorism of BNP-Jamaat alliance in the past where they burnt over 500 schools, 3,800 vehicles, launches, 70 rails and 3,500 people as well. We applaud Sheikh Hasina’s bold and courageous statements. Her such boldness, visionary leadership, farsightedness, wisdom, firm commitment and courage are helping the nation towards prosperity and thus turning Bangladesh into a smart developed country amid many hurdles, odds and conspiracies hatched at home and abroad.
Sheikh Hasina’s 15-day tri-nation visit to Japan, the United States (US) and the United Kingdom (UK) was very important just six month ahead of the national elections. Her foreign tour would definitely help solve many outstanding issues between Bangladesh and US, UK and Japan and would bring them much closer compared to any time in the past.
Sheikh Hasina’s visit has brought a whole new dimension to all aspects. Several heads of state and government had interactions with Sheikh Hasina while she had been on a 15-day foreign tour.
The global leaders also questioned how Bangladesh maintains high economic growth? Therefore, Sheikh Hasina’s statements and answers to journalists about her foreign tour and latest development of the country’s political arena will send a clear message to the people who plot against the country and the government as well staying at home and abroad.
