Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina allotted Tk 1.75 crore for the family members Talla Baitul Salat Jame Mosque blast victims in Narayanganj's Fatulla.
The amount was distributed among the family members of all 35 victims of the incident on Sunday at Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner’s office.
Family members of each victim received Tk 5 lakh from the DC Md. Jashimuddin at the time. In the distributing ceremony local law maker AKM Shamim Osman, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nahida Barik and Public Prosecutor Wazed Ali Khokon were present. On September 8, during Isha prayer a blast caused from Titas gas leak and electricity spark seriously burnt 37 people praying inside the mosque.
After being rescued by fire brigade and civil defence all injured were rushed to Sheikh Hasina burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital where 34 died undergoing treatment. Of them one injured reached home after recovery.
All the treatments were arranged by the help of the prime minister and now the rest 2 who are still in intensive care unit are provided treatment with the same assistance. AKM Shamim Osman said, that our Prime Minister is very affectionate and she knows the pain of an orphan. So, she always stands beside the helpless people.
