Marking the founding centenary of Dhaka University (DU), the inaugural ceremony of an international conference titled ‘Celebrating 100 years of the University of Dhaka: Reflections from the Alumni—International and National’ will be held today (Thursday) at 7 pm at Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, a former student of Dhaka University will inaugurate the conference virtually from Ganabhaban as the chief guest. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Akhtaruzzaman informed this at a virtual press briefing on Wednesday.
Among others DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Muhammad Samad, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof. ASM Maksud Kamal and the convener of the International Conference Organising Committee Professor. Imtiaz Ahmed was present during the press briefing.
Concerned people including former and current teachers and students of Dhaka University were invited to participate in the conference.
