Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated a 113 MW power plant through video conference in Bogura on Wednesday.
The Bogura-2 Limited 113 MW power plant has been set up at Birgram Confidence Power in Shajahanpur upazila near Bogura city.
After the inauguration of the Power Station through video conferencing, the plaque was unveiled at the meeting room of the Deputy Commissioner of Bogura.
Joint Secretary of Power Division Rezwanur Rahman; Bogura Deputy Commissioner, Fayez Ahmed; Awami League District Acting President, Dr Mokbul Hossain; General Secretary Majibur Rahman Majnu; District Police Superintendent, Ali Ashraf Bhuiyan BPM; Confidence Power Managing Director Khalid Islam; and PDB representative were present at the event.
The engine of this power station is made by a German Company, Man Diesel and Turbo. The contract of this power plant was signed on February 22, 2018.
The commercial production was started from March 30, 2019. The electricity will generate from Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) which is being connected to the national grid.
