‘PM implementing various projects to make women self-reliant’

Fisheries and Livestock Minister Sham Rezaul Karim has said that the government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is implementing various projects to make women self-reliant.

The minister was speaking as the chief guest at an information meeting on the integrated livestock development project in coastal char areas being implemented by the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock at Nesharabad Upazila Parishad auditorium in Pirojpur on Sunday.

At the time, the minister further said, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wants not a single woman in this country to be helpless. She wants women empowerment. Prime Minister wants women not to sit for the kindness of others and women to be self-reliant since they are not dependent. We are all working together towards that goal. He added that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is taking up one project after another to change the destiny of women. The Integrated Livestock Development Project is one such project. The livestock materials distributed under this project will make marginalized women self-reliant and economically prosperous.

Earlier, the minister distributed dry food gifted by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina among the helpless and distressed people of Nesharabad. Later, the Minister inaugurated a new pontoon at BIWTA at South Kaurikhara Launch Ghat of the same upazila.
