A child named Saidul Islam (10) died of a noose around his neck while playing suicide attempts.
On Sunday afternoon, the child was taken to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the hospital's resident medical officer Fateh Akram. Earlier, the incident took place in Mohammadjumma village of Chuadanga Sadar upazila around 10 am.
The deceased child Saidul Islam is the son of daily laborer Khorshed Alam of Mohammadjumma village of Sadar upazila and a class five student of Sinduria Government Primary School.
Sadar Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Abu Saeed said Saidul Islam's mother is ill. He was sleeping in the house. In the morning, Saidul went to eat rice in the next room.
After eating rice, he started playing hanging with other children.
At one point, he was seriously injured when a noose hit his neck. At that time, the neighbors rescued the child with serious injuries and took him to Sadar Hospital. The child died while being treated in the emergency department. He also said that the condition report of the dead child's body has been prepared. Legal matters are pending in that incident.
