Plant a tree, save the planet

Speakers at a rally on Sunday stressed necessity of tree plantation and suggested to disseminate the essence to protect the earth from devastating effects of climate change. 

They pointed out that in the context to the burning issue of the planet regarding climate change, people of all arena of the society needs to be aware in this regard.

Bangladesh Society of Radiology and Imaging (BSRI) arranged the programme along with tree plantation on Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) premises with the moto- "Plant a tree, save the planet".

BSRI arranged the event jointly with Indian Radiological Imaging Association, (IRIA) to participate this noble initiative of tree plantation.  

President of BSRI Prof Dr Enayet Karim, Secretary General of BSRI Dr Shahryar Nabi, Principal of Dhaka Medical College Hospital Prof Khan Abul Kalam Azad were present and inaugurated the ceremony. Dr Monphool Singhal from Apollo Hospital Dhaka was present on the occasion representing IRIA.    

   Speaking on the occasion, the experts said in order to save environment of the planet, tree plantation as well as keeping healthy environment is necessary.  

“We want to emphasise on the importance of the maintenance of proper cleanliness of our environment for prevention of deadly infectious disease as well as maintaining good health”, said Prof Karim.
