Planning Minister MA Mannan left Dhaka for USA early Wednesday on an official tour. Mannan will attend the meetings of Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC) and High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) to be held in New York, said a Planning Ministry press release. General Economics Division (GED) member of the Planning Commission Dr Shamsul Alam, Economic Relations Division (ERD) Secretary Monowar Ahmed, ERD Joint Secretaries M Anwar Hossain and Dr M Rezaul Bashar Siddique are accompanying the planning minister during the visit. The planning minister is expected to return home on July 22.
