The District and Upazila Administration have identified Pirpur Government Primary School in Chudanga Sadar upazila as the Smart School in 2018 for its good performance among the primary schools. The attendance of students and quality education have increased.
A new building has been constructed in 2012. It is colored and well decorated. Multimedia projectors are being used in all classes of the school. Net connection is available her. Most of the students can browse website.
There are seven teachers. All teachers prepare lesson note for taking classes in the classroom. They are trained from the primary teachers training institute.
At present about 266 students are enrolled in the school but 245 students were in 2018. The enrollment of students is increasing due to colorful school building and good teaching process in the classes by the teachers.
The teachers are headmaster Jannatul Ferdous, assistant teachers Asma Khatun, Abu Zafar, Hosne Akhtar, Nahar Sultana and Anika Aktar.
Three computers are in the classroom for the teachers and students. One computer is in the office room for official works.
The building is under solar system. Electricity facility is available here. No load shading during the class hours, sources added.
This correspondent asked the students about their Mid- Day Meal and they replied that they took tiffin for lunch from homes that was given by their parents.
Mollah Shahiduzzaman, superintendent of PTI and PTI Instructors visited the school. PTI Instructors observed the classes and other activities of students in the school. Mollah Shahiduzzaman, superintendent of PTI expresses his satisfaction to visit it.
Abu Jafar, Assistant Teacher of the school said, 'pre-primary classroom has been decorated according to the syllabus of pre-primary text book. Students of pre-primary class learn through playing using four corners materials. Pre-primary is the basic foundation of primary education.'
Jannatul Ferdous, headmaster of the school told to the Bangladesh Post that the present government gives us all kinds of support for quality education. So we are trying to fulfill the government's and students' needs.
