Dr. Amjad Hossain, 62, died in Dhaka Regent hospital on Saturday night after he had been infected with corona virus. He is survived with his wife, a son and a daughter. He was buried at Benapole Bhabarber graveyard on Sunday noon in collaboration with the administration.
Dr. Yousuf Ali , residential Doctor, Sharsha upazila health complex said that Dr. Amjad Hossain, was the first reliance on the treatment of people in Benapole, died on Saturday night while undergoing treatment at the ICU of Dhaka Mirpur Section 12 Regent Hospital for the last three days.
From the beginning of corona he was corona's frontline fighter. He went from morning to night with the medical services of the people of Benapole at the risk of his life.
MP Sheikh Afil Uddin, Benapole Press Club, Benapole C&F Agents Association, Import Export Workers Association, Transport Owners Association and various political and social organisations have expressed deep grief and sympathy over his death.
