Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members raided Phulbari border in Dinajpur and seized Indian Phensidyl worth Tk 10.7 lakh on Sunday.
Lt. Sharif Ullah Abed, commander of Phulbari 29 BGB in Dinajpur said, they received a tip-off that smugglers had entered Ushahar village in Dinajpur. When BGB men chased them, they fled leaving 2,675 bottles of Indian Phensedyl in a polythene bag. The value of the seized Phensidyl is Tk 10 lakh 70 thousand.
Lt Col Sharif Ullah Abed added that the drugs were seized at the border on the basis of intelligence information. He further said that there is no scope of compromise with the drug dealers.
