PhD seminar held at IU

A day-long PhD seminar on 'Importance of women’s education in Islam' was held at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Monday. 

The IU Al-Hadith and Islamic Studies department organized the seminar at the Faculty academic building conference room on the campus around 11:00am.

Professor Dr Hafez Abu Noman M Ershad Ullah, dean of Theology faculty addressed the seminar as chief guest while Professor Dr Syed Maksudur Rahman, Chairman of Al-Hadith and Islamic Studies department presided over the program. 

Professor Dr A K M WaliUllah, convener of the researchers, was present at the seminar as special guest. Professor Dr M Nasir Uddin and Professor Dr M Aliullah were attending the seminar as discussants. 

The researchers Shamima Nargis Afja, Reg-75, academic session 2014-15, focused on the importance of women’s education in Islam in detail at the seminar. Around 30 teachers and officials of various departments were present here.
