Pgrangone Mor’s theater festival begins tomorrow

With the slogan ‘Ami Banglae Bhalobashi, Ami Banglake Bhalobashi’ Prangone Mor’s 11th festival, the theater festival, titled ‘Prangone Mor Dui Banglar Natyamela 2019’ is going to begin from tomorrow.

For the past 16 years, the theater troupe has organised 10 theatre festivals. 

The theater festival will start tomorrow at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and will run until December 14. The theater festival will showcase four plays from West Bengal and Delhi of India and 5 from Bangladesh.

Prominent actor and director Asaduzzaman Noor (MP) will be the inaugurator at this year's festival, State Minister for Culture KM Khalid MP will be the chief guest and High Commissioner of the Indian Embassy in Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das will grace the occasion.

On December 13th at 10 am a discussion event titled ‘Theater Songkot – Dorshok na Bhalo Natok’. Hassan Shahriar will present the keynote paper on the issue and Swapan Roy, Malloy Bhowmik, Ahmed Iqbal Haider, Ratan Siddiqui, Mohammad Ali Haider and Rahman Raju will be present as the chief speakers. Ananto Hira will be present as the convener. 

In addition, The ‘Prangonemor Natyajoddha Shohojoddha Shomanona 2019’ will be presented to Mamunur Rashid’s wife Gauhar Ara Choudhury, Ataur Rahman’s wife Shahida Rahman and Liaquat Ali Lucky’s wife Kristy Hafez.

The play 'Art' will be staged by the Kolkata Praxis Theater at the National Theater Hall at 7pm tomorrow on the opening day of the theater festival, Gautam Sarker has directed it. On December 7, the Nandipat Natyadal from Kolkata will stage the play 'Abritto' under the direction of Prakash Bhattacharya. On December 9, the play ‘Hassanjaner Raja’ will be staged by Prangone Mor. It is directed by Ananta Hira. On December 9 Prachyanat will stage 'Pulsirat', on December 10 Rashikata Theater troupe from Kolkata will stage ‘Jyanto hamlet’, on December 11 Biborton Jashore will stage ‘Koibartagatha’, on December 12, Arnyak will stage ‘Moyur Shinghashon’, on December 13 Loknatyadal Siddheshwari will stage ‘Amra Tin Jon’, and on December 14 Greenroom Theater from Delhi will stage the play 'Bismillah'.

All the plays will be staged at the National Theater Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, said the founder and director of Prangone Mor Ananta Hira.
