Amusement parks in Chuadanga district were decorated and offered extended hours and discounts on various package to attract visitors on Eid-ul-Azha holidays as the people of different ages thronged the parks in a festive mood.
The famous parks in the district are- Police Park, DC Eco Park, Shishu Sargo, Meherun Nesa Children Park and Mini Zoo, Fantasy Chuadanga and Akkas Lake View Park and Resort. Eid-ul-Azha, which was observed on June 17, brought extra excitement to amusement parks.
It is learnt, Police Park is situated in the district town under the auspices of District Police. Different types of forest animals’ sculptures, bird sculptures, toy train for children riding, Nagardola, fruit plants, flower plants and others draw attention of the visitors at the park. The park was decorated with colourful decorations and illumination for attraction of children and their guardians.
Residents of the district town and its adjacent areas visited Shishu Sargo park for enjoying the Eid day. The park is situated at Rahela Khatun Girls School area in the district town. There are different types of fruit and flower trees in the park. Moreover, the owner of the park arranged Nagardola ride for the children.
DC Eco Park, established at Shibnagar village in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga on 128 acres of land, also drew attention of the visitors as it has electronic, manual and family rides for them. Besides, there is a lake at the park on 76 acres of land. Many visitors enjoyed a journey by boat at the lake. Visitors, especially the children, were seen enjoying the rides. Many visitors participated in indoor and outdoor games at the park.
Meherun Nesa Children Park and Mini Zoo was established at Ibrahimpur village under Damurhuda upazila of the district. Most of the children and people of nearby villages visited the park and mini zoo. The visitors were pleased seeing peacock, owl, ostrich, horse and monkey at the zoo. There was a special arrangement of the park. It is Bhuter Bari or Ghost House. Children enjoyed the arrangement. Besides, the visitors enjoyed boat race, horse riding and speed boats there.
Many visitors also thronged Fantasy Chuadanga at Purapara village in Damurhuda upazila of the district. Tasty food items and other amusement facilities drew attention of the visitors there.
Akkas Lake View Park and Resort is a new amusement park at Bodorgonj area in Sadar Upazila of the district. Its Nagardola and water events are very attractive to the visitors, said Hafizur Rahman, a lecturer of Badargonj College, Chuadanga.
Mohammad Ali, a 5-year-old boy of C&B Para in Chuadanga town told this correspondent, he comes with his father to visit different items of Chuadanga Police Park.
He also said that he enjoyed the rides and animals, birds and others at the park.
