IBBL inaugurates RDS Campaign

People in 23,000 villages get service under RDS

The Rural Development Scheme of Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd. (IBBL) is serving the people at 23 thousand villages in 64 districts through its 288 branches across the country. 

The number of members under the scheme is now 11.5 lac of which 92 percent are women having investment in this scheme is around Tk.3 thousand crore.

Addressing an even on Tuesday, IBBL Managing Director and CEO, Md. Mahbub ul Alam said that IBBL has been playing important role in the development of cities and villages in line with the country's progress and national development policies. 

IBBL organised the event at Islami Bank Tower, Matijheel in city, marking the inauguration of Rural Development Scheme (Small Investment) Campaign with the slogan “Expansion of Small Investment, Development of Rural Bangladesh”.  "IBBL is providing technology-based banking services in rural areas to make the country as Golden Bangladesh through uplifting the living standard of rural people, entrepreneurship development and empowerment of women", he said.

Mohammed Monirul Moula, Additional Managing Director, Abu Reza Md. Yeahia and Md. Saleh Iqbal, Deputy Managing Directors addressed the program as special guests.  Presided over by Md. Abdul Jabbar, Deputy Managing Director, the program was addressed by M. Zubayer Azam Helali, Executive Vice President and Head of Rural Development Division of the bank.  Executives and Employees of Head Office and Zones in Dhaka City were present in the program.
