A pedestrian named Parimal Saha (50) was killed when he was hit by a pickup truck at Chawkbari Mor in Garpara Union of Manikganj Sadar Upazila.
The accident took place around 8:30 am on Thursday (August 20). Parimal Saha is a resident of Garpara Union.
It is learned that Parimal Saha was waiting for the Manikganj-bound auto in the area in the morning. At this time a pickup loaded with gas cylinders ran him over. He died on the spot.
Additional Superintendent of Police Bhaskar Saha of Manikganj Sadar Circle said an officer was sent from the police station after receiving news of a death in the accident. Details can be revealed at the end of the investigation.
