Pay no heed to question paper leak rumour: Dipu Moni

Education Minister Dipu Moni on Monday said that intelligence agencies have been vigilant in stopping the menace of question paper leak.

She said, “We have taken all out measures to stop the leak of question papers. This year, we have printed about 2,790 sets question papers so that no one can leak the question papers. So, you don’t need to pay any heed to rumour regarding question paper leak. ”

The education minister said this while addressing a press briefing after inspecting Tejgaon Government Girls’ High School SSC examination centre in the capital.

Education Minister said, “There will have no political impact in SSC and equivalent examinations. The minister urged all political parties and individuals to abstain from violent activities and strikes during the examinations.

A number of students did not receive their admit cards due to the negligence of the educational institutes, said Dipu Moni. Students submitted the ‘registration fees’ but never got ‘registered’ properly, she said, adding that there were many such cases.

“We have noticed a few issues this year and have taken measures against them accordingly. We will do the same in the future.”
Prior to the exams, students are expected to take preparation and not worry about their admit cards, said Dipu Moni.
“This cannot be allowed to happen again. We will however ensure that the students receive their admit cards much earlier.”
The minister then urged the media to provide information on irregularities in educational institutes.

“We will probe each of those institutes and take necessary action,” she said.
Deputy Minister for Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Nofel, Education Secretary Mahbub Hossain, Additional Secretary Nazmul Hossain, Director General of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Golam Faruk were present.

The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations stated at 10:00 am on Monday across the country.

The Secondary School Certificate, or SSC, and equivalent examinations began on Monday with 2,047,779 students appearing for their tests in 3,512 examination centres across the country.

Candidates of the general education boards are taking their Bangla first paper test. Dakhil candidates under the madrasa board are sitting for Quran Majid and Tajbid tests while the vocational board students are taking their Bangla second paper tests.
