At least 6 tube wells on compound of Damurhuda Health Complex in Chuadanga District have been lying out of order as patients and their attendants have been facing water scarcity.
Mohammad Ali, a sufferer said, we informed to the health complex authority orally the problem of water collection from the premises of health complex. Water is being collected from the mosque’s tube well that is installed out of compound of health complex.
Mohammad Ali again said, `my wife is admitted into the health complex for treatment. Mother in law of the patient is staying with her as attendant. She is collecting water for drinking and use of other purposes from a tube well of outside mosque.
Abu Hena Mohammad Jamal Shuvo, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer said, we informed to Upazila Public Health Department for repairing the tube wells but the public health department does not take action for repairing these up to date.
He also said, the problem will be discussed at upazila monthly meeting for repairing tube wells.
