Additional Chief Engineer A.K.M Manir Hossain Pathan & Executive Engineer Amit Kumar Chakrabarty of the Roads and Highways Department (RHD) have been elected as President & General Secretary of the 'Sarak o Janapath Prokoushali Samity' of RHD.
The election of the executive committee for the term 2020-22 was held on Saturday at the RHD headquarters, Tejgaon in the capital.
Besides, Superintending Engineer Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad and Superintending Engineer Md. Amanullah have been elected as Vice Presidents; Executive Engineer Md. Ruconuzzaman and Executive Engineer Syed Halimur Rahman as Joint Secretary; & Sub-Divisional Engineer Shuvra Das as Organizing Secretary, have been elected for 2020-22 term.
Before the the 1st Biennial Election the 30th general meeting of the organisation was held.
Obaidul Kader MP Minister, Road Transport & Bridges presided over the general meeting as chief guest while Nazrul Islam, Secretary, Road Transport and Bridge Division and Mr. Quazi Shahriar Hossain, Chief Engineer, Roads and Highways Department were present on the occasion as special guests.
