A day-long Partner Field School Congress was held on Tuesday at the conference hall of the Upazila Model Mosque in Alamdanga under the Programme on Agricultural and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship, and Resilience in Bangladesh (PARTNER) project.
Organised by the Upazila Agriculture Extension Department, the event was led by Upazila Agriculture Officer Rehena Parvin. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sheikh Mehedi Islam attended as the chief guest, while Sheikh Sajjad Hossain, Senior Monitoring Officer of the PARTNER programme from the Jessore region, joined as the special guest.
Speakers emphasised the importance of adopting modern agricultural techniques, soil conservation, quality seeds, and addressing farmers' challenges to enhance productivity. They also underlined the role of training in developing farmers’ skills and ensuring sustainable agricultural growth.
Around 100 participants from various areas of the upazila took part in the event.
