Part of Munshiganj declared ‘yellow zone’

The people of Mathpara area of Munshiganj Sadar Upazila have got rid of the long 21-day lockdown and started living their normal life. 

The administration has declared the area a yellow zone on Thursday as the number of new corona patients in the Mathpara area has not increased comparatively.

Initially, the area was under lockdown with 17 patients suffering from corona. Within 14 days, 13 people recovered and 1 died. A total of 6 people were infected in the next 6 days. 

 Munshiganj Deputy Commissioner Md. Moniruzzaman Talukder, Munshiganj Superintendent of Police Md. Abdul Momen, Munshiganj Municipal Mayor Haji Md. Faisal Biplob, Munshiganj Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Abul Kalam Azad thanked Mathpara residents for their awareness in curbing the spread of virus.

Munshiganj Municipal Mayor Haji Md. Faisal Biplob said, "We are ready for your full cooperation." Especially follow your health rules. Don't go out unnecessarily. 

Superintendent of Police Abdul Momen said, many thanks to those who volunteered in the lockdown area. We have to take care of everyone's life and livelihood. We have been able to implement the lockdown with the full cooperation of the public.

Deputy Commissioner Moniruzzaman Talukder said people in the area had showed great awareness during the lockdown. You will treat those who have been affected by corona humanely. Do not abuse them. I myself was corona positive. Thanks to everyone's prayers, I have now recovered from corona.
