Veteran parliamentarian and first Finance Secretary of Independent Bangladesh Khandaker Asaduzzaman is no more. Due to old age complication, the valiant freedom fighter breathed his last at his Gulshan residence in the capital on Saturday. Asaduzzaman who was elected three times as a member of parliament from Tangail-2 constituency also served as a former advisor to ministry of establishments’ affairs.
He was laid to rest at his birthplace at Naruchi village under Gopalpur upazila in Tangail after the Tarabi prayer on Saturday. He was 85 years old. He left behind his wife, one son, two daughters and a host of relatives to mourn his death.
