Pakistan ready to fight against Tigresses

Bangladesh became the champion in 2018 Women's Asia Cup as they had defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets in that extravaganza. In the forthcoming clash on Monday Pakistan are considering Tigresses as a formidable opponent before they meet again on the same stage.

The host team will face Pakistan at ground number two at the Sylhet International Stadium on Monday at 9 am. Today’s player of the match Tuba Hassan came to the press conference after blowing away Malaysia on Sunday as Pakistan's new leg spinner said how serious they are about the Bangladesh match.

“We are looking forward at Bangladesh clash tomorrow. They are a very good team. Hopefully, there will be a great fight between the two teams,” Tuba said.

In today’s match, after opting to bowl first in an overcast condition, Pakistan bowlers made full use of the conditions as Diana Baig struck on the second ball of the innings – getting Malaysia’s captain Winifred Duraisingam out caught behind for no score.

But it was the spinners that dominated the bowling side, Omaima Sohail (3-0-19-3), Sadia Iqbal (4-0-8-1) and Tuba (4-0-13-2) shared six wickets between as they bundled Malaysia for 57-9 in 20 overs.

This Pakistani cricketer feels that if the spinners do their job properly in this condition then it is possible to give the best against Bangladesh.

“The pitch is very helpful for the spinners. If the bowlers do well, then Pakistan can give their best” she added.
