A painting exhibition organized by a group of women watercolour artists called ‘Jolkonya’, on the occasion of Women's Day, will conclude tomorrow. Hasnat Abdul Hye inaugurated the art exhibition in the gallery of the Bishwo Shahitto Kendro last Sunday afternoon.
Suporna Alice Gomes, the leader of ‘Jolkonya’, said they organise an exhibition on the occasion of Women's Day every yeay. They also organise art camps throughout the year. She said fine arts students Sabiha Nasreen and Nibedita Mondal have been working regularly with the team.
There are 39 paintings by 19 artists in the exhibition. Besides watercolour paintings, also some of the acrylic works have been included in the exhibition. The artists participating are Elina Chakma, Anamika Sur, Afrin Sultana, Allison Griffith Gomez, Farhana Ferdous, Farzana Alam, Hridi Adra Ahmed, Jacqueline Ria Rosario, Mahfuzur Rahman, Meghamala Aaka, Mostari Fahimda Afrin, Polash Kumar Das , S B Nusrat Jahan, Shuchita, Sneha Karen Gomez and Tanya Farabi.
The exhibition is open to all from 3pm to 8pm everyday.
