Padmapuran (2019) is a Bangladeshi full length feature film directed by Rashid Palash in 2019. The film is produced by Punnah Films and script written by Rayhan Shoshi. The film is starred by Sadia Afrin Mahi in the lead character as Golapi is coming soon.
Recently a poster signing ceremony was held at Banani Club in the capital where distinguished journalists were present.
Besides, Gulshan Ara Champa, Shampa Reza, Shimul Khan Don, Kayes Chowdhury, Ilora Gahor, Maria, Nusrat Zahan Papia, Shamim Visti, Hedayet Nannu and others have starred in some important characters.
The film is about the life and livelihood of the living people on the bank of river. Changing of their livelihood with increasing and decreasing of water of river is captured in the movie. Actually, their livelihood and social problems are changed with the climate change.
In the poster there is a look of Sadia Afreen Mahi as Golapi a pregnant woman wearing sari with white-pink color is half-immersed in the water and hair trimming. Here Shampa Reza will be seen in the lead role of third gender. Gulshan Ara Champa will be seen as the drug dealer in the film.
Besides, the film will tell the story of the living people on the bank of river. Shooting has been finished in Rajshahi and on the bank of the river Padma. —BD Films
