Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujon came to Padma Bridge on a surprise visit to see the work of laying railway line on Padma Bridge. The work progress of the entire project is more than 70 percent. On Tuesday afternoon, the railway minister visited the work of laying the railway line at Padma Bridge. He visited the progress of construction of railway on Padma Bridge by train. The work of laying railway line without stone is going on in full swing at the bridge. Earlier, the minister visited Mawa railway station and boarded the train from Padma station at Jazira end via Padma Bridge. The minister said that the railway will run through the Padma Bridge next June.

Project Director of Padma Bridge Rail Link Project Engineer Afzal ossain said that work is going on day and night on Padma Bridge. Work is going on day and night with emphasis on the quality of work. The work progress of 182 km from Dhaka to Jashore is more than 70 percent.

Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujon said that the work of the railway line from Dhaka to Gandaria has been stopped for the convenience of work. Now our challenging part is the section from Mawa to Dhaka. With the progress in the work here, we hope to be able to start rail traffic from Dhaka to Banja next June.

The minister also said that there is an election ahead. I fixed the timeline for the progress of the 3 parts of the project during the election year. There was a railway line until it was broken, if we can connect with it, we can make Padma Bridge suitable for rail traffic.

The minister also said that the work is going on day and night, as it is the working season, the progress we are getting is satisfactory.
