Padma Bank opens agent banking outlet in Khulna

Padma Bank has launched an agent banking outlet in Khulna Sadar under its Khulna Branch. Padma Bank's Vice Chairman Dr. Hasan Taher Imam inaugurated the outlet as chief guest from Dhaka head office through a virtual platform on Monday. 

Through this outlet, customers will be able to deposit West Power Zone electricity bills, bus and plane tickets, and Indian Visa fees apart from regular banking facilities.

This is Padma Bank's second agent banking outlet. In July, the fourth generation Padma Bank started its first agent banking activities in Akahlia under Amdia union of Narsingdi.

 Padma Bank’s Managing Director (Current Charge) Faisal Ahsan Chowdhury addressed the inaugural function as a special guest. 

He said the fourth-generation private commercial bank is fast moving towards full blown digitization.

 Padma Bank has launched agent banking services as part of its plan to extend banking services to unbanked customers in every district and Upazila of the country. Agent banking is another achievement of that endeavor. Customers can transact with ease without any hassle here.

Dr. Hafizur Rahman, CEO, Master Agent (EDCABS Ltd.) joined the virtual event as a special guest from Khulna. Zabed Amin, SEVP and Head of business, M. Ahsan Ullah Khan, SEVP and Head of Human Resources Division, and Muhammad Zakaria Karim, Head of Agent Banking as well as high officials of the divisions attended the inauguration program. Local dignitaries welcomed the new endeavor of Padma Bank.
