Padma Bank Limited has signed a credit guarantee facility agreement with Bangladesh Bank for the disbursement of loans to the CMSME sector.
Padma Bank signed a participation agreement with Bangladesh Bank on Monday, October 30, 2023 at the Bangladesh Bank head office to avail of a credit guarantee facility for loans under Tk 25,000 Crore pre-finance scheme to the country's CMSME sector.
The agreement was executed on behalf of their respective institutions by Dr. Mohammed Emtiaz Uddin, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Business Officer of Padma Bank, and Manoj Kumar Howlader, Director Credit Guarantee Department, Bangladesh Bank.
Senior officials of Bangladesh Bank, Md. Riazul Islam, EVP and Head of SME and Agriculture Banking Division of Padma Bank, and other officials of the two institutions were also present at the ceremony.
