A meeting of the Committee on Environment, Atmosphere and Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Tourism Development of St. Martin's Island was held using online platform Zoom Conference on Thursday.
Cox's Bazar Deputy Commissioner Md. Kamal Hossain said, the meeting was chaired by Md. Mahibul Haque, Senior Secretary of Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
In the meeting detail discussions were held on various proposals including daily arrival of a certain number of tourists to St. Martin's Island during the upcoming tourist season, ban on overnight stay of tourists on the island, and ban on visiting Chera Dwip island.
